Sneak Peeks
Today I’m sharing some photos of future projects that I plan to complete and share in the upcoming months. Some are small and some are bigger, but all will make Ticklepenny Cottage more whimsical. Enjoy!
This beautiful swan bust will grace the wall above the doorway in my turret, with an antique french mirror frame around her. There might even be a few feathers drifting down the wall below her.
These gorgeous fish scale tiles will be part of my mermaid themed bathroom. It will have sea green walls, floor tiles the color of driftwood, a painted vanity, and a really special ceiling.
This is a work in progress photo of the ceiling medallion for my great room. Wait until you see the amazing chandelier that will be hanging from it!
This amazing moon will be blowing stars across the night sky (my bedroom ceiling) but he needs a little spruce up with metallic paint so he’ll show up against the black background.
These mouldings made out of caulk will be cut up, rearranged, and glued back together before being painted and added to the bedroom walls for additional embellishment.
This pirate ship chandelier will also get a metallic update so it shows up against that black ceiling. And I might add a few stars and crystals to it too, because, why not?
I am so excited to share the incredible carved mantle that I found and am updating with chalk paint. I’m adding a large mirror frame above it that will match, and I’m decorating it with mouldings similar to the mantle itself. It was part of a four piece set of carved furniture that I was lucky enough to find. They will all be painted and added to my house in various ways.
This little ledge will sit under the round top window in my turret. It will match the walls, so it won’t stand out too much. The round top door will get something similar.
I have so many fun projects coming up, I can’t wait to share them all!
