Wreath Stamped Plant Stand
My friend recently gave me some lovely Lady Frances Pink Begonias and I wanted a way to display them. My brother-in-law Marc had this little table that had belonged to his grandfather that he said I could fix up.

It’s a cute little three-legged affair, and I knew I could give it a new life with paint.

A base coat of pale green FolkArt Home Decor Chalk Paint in Oatmeal let me know how much of my custom color to mix.

I used Heirloom Traditions All-In-One Paint in Crete and Tuscan Wheat (discontinued). Together they make a lovely light, olive green.

I wanted some texture, so I let the paint sit for a bit to get thicker, and then painted two coats, letting the brush strokes show deliberately.

I applied RustOleum Aged Glaze liberally, allowing it to highlight the texture created by the brushstrokes.

The top needed something, so I used part of the Build a Wreath Stamp set (discontinued) from Iron Orchid Designs and the Crete Paint to make a darker green wreath around the edge.

It’s not perfect, but I think it’s an improvement.

I found a pot and saucer set that looks great with my lace curtains, and planted my begonias, using moss I gathered under my oak trees to cover the dirt and enhance the color of the leaves. I’m very pleased with the way this little project turned out.
